Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: April 2025:

Welcome to Light Events Co Ltd ("Light Events," "we," "our," or "us"). By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Our Services

Light Events provides a range of bespoke wedding planning services, including but not limited to:

  • Wedding consultation

  • Vendor selection support

  • Event design and coordination

We offer both off-the-rack and fully customised packages tailored to the specific needs of each client. A detailed service list will be provided and agreed upon before work commences.

2. Payments

2.1 Deposits & Balances

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to secure your date.

  • The remaining 50% is due no later than 90 days before the wedding.

  • If the wedding is booked within 90 days of the event date, full payment is required upfront.

2.2 Payment Methods

  • We accept all major payment methods. A processing fee may apply for certain transactions.

  • Discounts may be offered for full upfront payments — this will be specified at the time of booking.

  • Payment plans are available upon request but must be agreed in writing before the deposit is made.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • If cancellation occurs within 90 days of the event, 50% of the remaining balance (beyond the deposit) may be refunded.

  • This structure reflects the nature of our industry, where advance booking prevents us from accepting other work for that date.

4. Our Commitment & Emergencies

  • In the unlikely event that Light Events must cancel services due to unforeseen emergencies, we will make every reasonable effort to appoint a qualified replacement.

  • We are not liable for delays, interruptions, or service failures resulting from circumstances outside of our control, including but not limited to acts of God, extreme weather, vendor failure, travel delays, illness, government restrictions, or technical issues.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Respond to communications in a timely manner.

  • Attend scheduled meetings (conducted via Google Meet). Failure to attend 3 or more scheduled meetings may result in a $50 fee.

  • Understand that while we support vendor coordination, the vendor contracts remain between the client and the vendor, not Light Events.

6. Use of Images & Content

With express permission, Light Events may use photos or media from your wedding for marketing purposes including social media, website, or promotional materials. Consent may be revoked at any time in writing.

7. Service Limitations

  • We do not offer legal advice.

  • The services provided are based solely on the agreed package and scope outlined in the client contract.

  • Any changes or additions must be agreed upon in writing and may result in additional charges.

8. Liability

Light Events Co Ltd shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or delay resulting from:

  • Failures or actions of third-party vendors.

  • Weather, travel, or health disruptions.

  • Inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability under or in connection with our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by the laws of both the United Kingdom and the United States, depending on the client’s jurisdiction. We encourage all disputes to be addressed through mediation prior to legal action.
